When the inner walls of the stomach get open sores and give inflammation to the stomach and affect small intestine are known as peptic ulcers or Ulceration in the Stomach.
Our stomach is designed in a way that it has to digest food with the presence of a high amount of acids inside.
The wall of the stomach is protected with thick mucus and when that mucus gets reduces the acid creates sores on the inner linings of the stomach which is known as Ulcerations in the Stomach or gastric ulcer.
Beginning of Ulceration in Stomach:
There are so many causes for the inner mucus to get damaged and get sore. The major cause for the ulcerations in the stomach can be the use of sodas, and the bacteria called helicobacter pylori.
And also too much usage of drugs like aspirin and ibuprofen for a long time. These are the basic factors responsible for the cause of ulceration in the stomach but there can be many more.
Indications of Ulceration in Stomach:
There are many signs occur before the diagnosis of ulceration in the stomach. These symptoms can grow from mild to severe depending upon the intensity of the sores in the stomach.

- Slight pain at the beginning of abdomen
- Hunger pains
- Getting full easily
- Dry stools
Determination of Ulcerations:
When the body starts showing the above-mentioned symptoms. Take notice immediately. Ulcerations in the stomach can’t be easily controlled they need proper medicines to get cured. There are two ways for the diagnosis of ulceration in the stomach.
- Non-surgical procedure: in this procedure a person has to drink barium which gets stick to the wall of the stomach and sores can be seen through an x-ray.
- Surgical procedure: an endoscopy or biopsy can be done to diagnose the ulcer.
There are both treatments available for the ulceration in the stomach. That is surgical and non-surgical.
Most doctors opt for the non-surgical process but when it becomes inevitable to treat the sores with the medicine they have to go for the surgical options.
Non- surgical Treatment:
The non-surgical method is the antibiotics to control helicobacter pylori bacteria. There are also drugs available to stop producing the acid in the stomach.
There are surgical methods also available but they are not a long-term cure for the ulceration of the stomach. Their surgical methods have various side effects also.

- Takes time to heal. Sometimes even don’t heal.
- Throws food directly in the small intestine
Prevention of ulceration in the stomach is hard but not impossible. Some factors should be taken care of to avoid ulcerations in the stomach.
Ulcers are mostly caused by the non-healthy diet. To avoid ulcers a person must have to follow a healthy diet routine.

- Lots of fruits
- Avoid fizzy drinks
- Foods rich in probiotics
- Avoid spicy and oily food
- Keep the ph level low of the stomach
- No late-night eating
- Avoid junk food
- Stay hydrated always
